Facedown – The 1975

Lead singer of The 1975, Matt Healy

It’s finally starting. The 1975 are beginning their inevitable road to huge success (here’s hoping).

Facedown is their first EP and it will hit in August. To be honest, Facedown, the title track, isn’t what I expected. It’s far darker and a great deal ‘somber-er.’ There is no big guitar kick or searing vocals, just a surreal soundscape. It’s a real good song, especially because it shows the band have got plenty of variety to come.
