Hi. We’re Can You Hear This. As you can probably guess, we really like music. We post music we love at least once a day and occasionally give you a free download or two. We like a lot of different things, so expect a large variety of genres. We don’t care if other people don’t like what we like, so expect some songs that are both painfully mainstream and totally unheard of. Jonah 

Hi, I’m Jonah and I began this musical journey in the summer of 2010. I enjoy a huge range of types of music, but my absolute favourites are chilled electronic, and true rock and roll. In my spare time I like walking my dog, playing football (with my dog), playing Xbox (without my dog), and staring at the ceiling. I firmly believe that every piece of music fits in somewhere, and the music I write about has fit somewhere for me. Follow me @jonahmcgowan

Henry 

Hola, that’s me (the one with the tie)! I’m Henry, the douchebag who likes pop music. That’s not a very cool thing to say anymore but I’ve never been a huge fan of that whole cool thing. The guys regularly rip me for being too ‘mainstream,’ and I considered defending myself but am instead taking the moral high-ground (rare). My favourite singers (not of all time, but as many as I can remember at 1:15 in the morning) are Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Lana Del Rey, Katy Perry and anyone who has sung from the Great American Songbook ever. I hate the term ‘guilty pleasure,’ like furry (non-poisonous) animals and am mentally married to Dianna Agron. Obligatory twitter follow: @henellenthorpe

Michael 

Hi guys, as you can see in my picture, I’m the token underground wannabe hipster. I would say the indie one but I this whole experience has led to the development of a broader music taste. Whilst I still love my heroes like Look See Proof from a few years ago, I’m increasingly excited about the prospects for pop music in the future with the wealth of talent coming from our fine island. That said, Lady Gaga still does not rock my world. Outside of music, I love movies and sport – I guess popular culture is my thing! Hope you enjoy listening to all the music and manage not to be too put out by our assertive judgements!

Hi, I’m Bal and I’m the newest addition to the CYHT blogging team. I have no particular preference for a certain type of music, although KOL and The Antlers are a special-kind of awesome. Aside from my musical escapades, I enjoy conquering the dual challenges of photography and finding ridiculous methods of procrastination, like keeping fit. For me, the power of music to amplify emotions is its greatest asset.
