You see it has Drake in the title and you know it’s me. I just love him. There I said it. While rappers like Rick Ross come out with audacious and impractical declarations such as “I’ve got a chopper in the car,” I prefer Drake’s more heartfelt verses about his actual life experiences. Combine that with Jamie Foxx’s beautiful floating voice and you have something special.
Fall for Your Type (feat. Drake) – Jamie Foxx
4 Maya2 – Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm (Max Cooper Remix)
3 MayOkay so the other day I stumbled upon something really, really beautiful. No, not Mila Kunis (although I can still dream). I was paddling around and surfing our beloved internet when I discovered a quite frankly gorgeous Max Cooper remix.
Summers Down – Blue Boats

It’s my birthday today!! That’s right, I am finally allowed to drink and go clubbing legally. It is somewhat ironic/annoying that when I go to college in Chicago next year both of these things will immediately become illegal again until I reach the ripe old age of 21. If you know this song, you might think it’s an inappropriate one to feature on my birthday. In fact, you might think it’s inappropriate to feature at all. (more…)
Orifice Origami – Reptar
25 Apr16 pages of English notes. “Holy crap!” I hear you yell from behind your computer screen. Yep, that’s a lot of notes to do in one night. You are perhaps, fortunate that my procrastination has reached the stage where I will provide you with new music, before I go elsewhere in search of thrills on this beautiful internet. (more…)
Learn To Crawl – Black Lab
19 Apr
Don’t type Black Lab into Google. All you get are search results about puppies. I guess that kind of sums up Black Lab’s unfortunate fall from reasonable grace. When I say ‘reasonable grace,’ I mean featuring on the Spiderman soundtrack, which is where I heard this song, which explains why it’s called Learn To Crawl, which was (perhaps unsurprisingly) played in the part of the movie where Spiderman learns to crawl, which is cool.
Bine – Arapaima

Sometimes on this blog, we give you underground music. Sometimes it’s so underground that we can barely find a picture even relating to the artist. Sometimes it’s SO underground that we can’t find a picture relating to the artist. Ladies and gentleman, today the latter applies. Indeed, neither the three topless individuals nor the worryingly large fish have brought you the song I am here to introduce you to today. (more…)
Headlights – Morning Parade
11 Apr
Ah Los Angeles. How relaxing you are. I always find it funny how I come across some of my favorite music. Sometimes it’s on a TV show or in a movie, sometimes it’s from hearing things on the radio. Sometimes it’s just friends telling friends what they’ve been hearing lately. However, I found Headlights by Morning Parade yesterday, on a bicycle in hectic LA traffic, while waiting for a red light to turn green. An overweight, middle-aged man was blasting this song with the windows down and I thought it sounded good, so I memorised some of the lyrics and hey presto: (more…)
Let’s Move Back To Front – Zulu Winter
9 AprApologies for my brief hiatus! I’ve been in Los Angeles these last few days without access to a good internet connection. But now I have sought one out in order to let you know what those well-dressed, good-looking, non-smoking folks in LA are listening to. If this song is as good as the frontman’s jawline is defined, then you know you’re in for a treat! (more…)
Stay Useless – Cloud Nothings
20 Mar
Here’s a cool little number that I heard over the weekend and thought you might like to hear. Cloud Nothings are a four-piece indie band from Cleveland, Ohio that starting playing music as a light hearted way to amuse themselves between college classes. Needless to say, it got even more amusing when the world realised how talented they were and their music started getting more and more recognition.
