T.G.I.F (it’s actually Thursday)
This is killer. I only found it by trawling through our inbox (and if you’re emailing us, please avoid capslock at all costs. Most likely I’ll be checking this thing in the early hours of the morning and don’t appreciate my computer SCREAMING AT ME) but it’s great. Viceroy is a producer from San Francisco (whence comes all the coolest music) and remixed Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night last summer! It may be slightly dated but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check it out immediately. I’ve posted the MP3 below and you can download it from Soundcloud. After the jump is the original Last Friday Night video (fun!) and an article I wrote at the time (tempus fugit! I remember writing that in Thailand) about Katy Perry, Beyonce and feminism. It was kinda cool:

I made a collage. And I liked it. Seriously, I love a collage.
She kissed a girl, you know the rest. Let’s take a look at her career.
Friday! Thank goodness. Here’s some exposition about Woodkid: His real name is Yoann Lemoine, he’s a french music video director and artist. He’s directed videos for Katy Perry (Teenage Dream), LDR (Born To Die) and Drake (Take Care.) I kinda want to be him. He’s released an album called Iron, which currently resides in my Amazon basket. He performed Videogames with LDR, live:
Freakin’ cute (how adorable is LDR’s giggle after the wolf-whistle?) Here’s his rendition of Teenage Dream.
Have you been watching The Voice? I haven’t but that’s purely my memory’s fault and not BBC’s. It always seem to be on earlier than I think and I never remember next week. I know, I know, series link but I don’t need another television show in my life right now. Anyway, I was Tumblring the other day and found this little gem. A contestant from The Voice Australia singing Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream. This is probably one of my favourite love (?) songs of all time, and Rimmer’s rendition is ah-muz-ing. Take a lookedy-look after the jump:

Sorry for: lack of posting, breaking Hunger Games-related promises. News: I’m not particularly reliable, Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream has been re-packaged with some bonuses. What we’re going to do: try and be a better person, review them. See you after the jump.

6 Super Easy Ways For Katy Perry To Tell If She’s A Feminist
Checkmate, frizzy hair
Quoth Katy Perry at the Billboard Awards during her Woman of the Year acceptance speech: “I am not a feminist, but I do believe in the strength of women. I don’t really like to call myself a role model for my fans. I hope that I am an inspiration for them, especially young women. My mantra, especially for the [‘Part Of Me’] film, was: If you believe in yourself, you can be anything.” No-one said post-Feminism was a pretty concept but that makes me a little bit sad. I’m totally down with being whatever want you to be – Katy has no duty to be a role model, nor uphold any political responsibility (though she has, and does) – but it’s the denial that bugs me. ‘I’m not a feminist but …’ smacks of ‘I’m not gay but …’ and it makes very little sense in the context of Katy’s comment. No-one’s accusing you of terrorism, or like bestiality, Katy. Feminists live and breathe in society. They’re allowed to use the same super-market queues as other people! Sometimes, they go out to dinner. And once, I’m pretty sure I saw one at a cinema. So let’s re-think this whole label thing and work out if Katy has what it takes to be a constitute in 6 easy steps.
